The word expansion has become synonymous with Edmonton. If you’ve followed our Edmonton Realtor blog over the last few months, or any news regarding this city for that matter, then you’re well aware of that fact. We receive Edmonton real estate inquiries from all over the continent as individuals, households, and commercial businesses catch wind of the city’s tremendous opportunity for growth. As representatives of this fine city we take it upon ourselves to keep our clients and readers up to date developments taking place in Edmonton. Consider our Edmonton Realty team as your welcome mat, or in this instance, your tarmac. Edmonton International Airport, like the city is serves, completed yet another phase of its expansion – and it did so with flare.
A new Domestic International Passenger Lounge was unveiled over two weeks ago. Anyone arriving at YEG will discover a consistent theme – sports. In particular this theme can be witnessed in action as you await your baggage. The Edmonton Oilers, the Edmonton Eskimos, and the Edmonton Oil Kings each claim a team decorated baggage carousel to their own, making the wait time more bearable as arriving passengers snap photos and admire the work. While Edmonton is considered a cultural hub of Canada, is also a city with deep roots in sports. As an Edmonton Realtor, we maintain relationships with both our current and past clients and can say for certain that we have seen many new Edmonton resident homeowners transform from either a casual or non-existent fan of local sports into a full-fledged Oiler & Eskimo flag waving citizen. Some of them may or may not be among those with faces painted in the stands. The spirit is infectious in Edmonton and as with everything in this northern Alberta city – it continues to grow.
Today’s blog entry is simply a note to prepare new homeowners moving to Edmonton so that when they contact our Edmonton Realty team they may want to request to view Edmonton homes with space for a rec-room for game viewing only – because things can get messy during play-off season.
